What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme is a way for people with disability to get the support and services that they need through annual individual plans and funding allocations.

It aims to provide you with choice, control and independence. Its individual (person by person) approach means that you make decisions about how you want to live your life and the supports or services you might use.

Are you eligible for NDIS?

People who meet the NDIS access requirements are called participants. A person with a disability that is likely to be permanent and the disability makes it difficult to take part in everyday activities can become a Participant. NDIS service prices

The prices for all our supports and services are in line with the NDIS Price Guide.

NDIS prices are updated every year to make sure that people with disability in the Scheme receive value for money and that organisations like WA Blue Sky can provide quality services with the right staff. When a new NDIS Price Guide is released, WA Blue Sky service processes are adjusted accordingly.

    Back in early 90’s several families decided to create a small organisation to provide a better outcome for our family members with disability, where we are not be a number in a long waiting list or a big company.

    Our meeting was held on a beautiful sunny day, and one of us looked skywards saying let’s call it Blue Sky and hence the name we have today.

    It was not an easy task to start this Organisation from scratch. Our first service was the development of three individual housing units, in which all involved were included in the design – these became a showpiece for disability services in Perth.

    What started as a dream for a small number of parents has gone on to become the organisation we know today, welcoming many new members and service users, and offering different service types and locations.
